Metal Roofing in Lamoille County — Built for Stowe Winters

Nowhere in Vermont puts more snow on a roof than the Stowe corridor. Interlock is the roof you install once — interlocking aluminum panels engineered to shed snow, with no exposed lap seam anywhere on the field of the roof — covered by the Guardian Warranty from Interlock Roofing Ltd., manufacturer of the Interlock Lifetime Roofing System.

BUILT FOR SKI-COUNTRY SNOW

Mountain snowfall plus constant melt-and-refreeze is the hardest combination a roof faces in New England. Interlock's panels interlock on all four sides, so the field of the roof has no exposed lap seam, and the smooth finish is designed to release snow rather than hold a saturated layer against the deck. (In heavy-snow country, snow guards are recommended to control where snow releases — ask us to spec them.)

A SECOND HOME YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT

If you are not here year-round, the value is arriving with nothing to discover: no contractor to arrange from out of state, no replacement to schedule around a rental season.

SOMETIMES NO TEAR-OFF — BUT ONLY AFTER INSPECTION

Where the deck is sound and local code permits, Interlock can be installed over existing asphalt. We strongly recommend a complete inspection down to the roof deck first to determine whether a roof-over is appropriate — local building codes commonly allow roofing over only one layer of asphalt shingles.

AND IT ADDS TO WHAT THE PROPERTY IS WORTH

In a market where buyers scrutinise mountain-house maintenance, a roof with transferable coverage is one fewer thing to be discounted on.

What Vermont homeowners say

★★★★

Long wait on materials, installation was good, but not what I would call great (some dents, some uneven areas). The overall project had the potential to be fantastic (due to the construction of the house) and it fell short of that, but still looks great. Also dissappointed that they could not provide me with a certification letter for the wind, hail, and fire resistance. So installation had no effect on my homeowners insurance. At my previous home in Texas, that was standard for all roofing contractors. See previous comments

This is the second review I have ever given. Absolutely couldn’t be happier about our new roof/skylights and the folks I dealt with during the whole process. Begins with the no pressure sales, support staff and ends with the people who did the work. Work was done in November and waited to give this review only because I wanted to see how it handled a Vermont winter and see if any issues came up. No issues, none! Not sure why, but I used a lot less oil this winter (colder and snowier winter than normal). Maybe my 30 years old skylights or something to do with the roof system? If you are on the fence about using Interlock Roofing or the Shake Shingle type of roof, my advice to you would be to get off the fence and pull the trigger!

Communications with the office could be improved. Dropping and losing nails and scraps in the snow is understandable but not picking up excess nails dropped while filling nail pouches is not okay. Also as a non smoker cigarette butts on the ground are definitely not okay.

We just put an Interlock metal roof on our house. We were very happy with Chris's presentation and and decided to move forward with them. They started when they said they would and the crew worked full days until it was complete.
