Northern Vermont holds snow a long time, and Lake Champlain sends wind across it. Interlock is built for both — interlocking aluminum with no exposed lap seam on the field of the roof, warranted to resist wind up to 120 mph when installed to manufacturer specification, under the Guardian Warranty from Interlock Roofing.

This far north the snow sits for months, and sustained snow cover is what drives meltwater back toward the eaves. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels carry no exposed lap seam across the field of the roof, and the surface is designed to shed snow instead of holding it. (Snow guards are recommended to control release — ask us to spec them.)
Open exposure near Champlain punishes an aging asphalt roof, where every dried adhesive tab is a starting point. Mechanically interlocked panels are warranted to 120 mph (193 kph) when installed to manufacturer specification.
Dairy country means big roof areas and long spans, where replacing asphalt every fifteen to twenty years is a serious recurring cost.

Long wait on materials, installation was good, but not what I would call great (some dents, some uneven areas). The overall project had the potential to be fantastic (due to the construction of the house) and it fell short of that, but still looks great. Also dissappointed that they could not provide me with a certification letter for the wind, hail, and fire resistance. So installation had no effect on my homeowners insurance. At my previous home in Texas, that was standard for all roofing contractors. See previous comments

This is the second review I have ever given. Absolutely couldn’t be happier about our new roof/skylights and the folks I dealt with during the whole process. Begins with the no pressure sales, support staff and ends with the people who did the work. Work was done in November and waited to give this review only because I wanted to see how it handled a Vermont winter and see if any issues came up. No issues, none! Not sure why, but I used a lot less oil this winter (colder and snowier winter than normal). Maybe my 30 years old skylights or something to do with the roof system? If you are on the fence about using Interlock Roofing or the Shake Shingle type of roof, my advice to you would be to get off the fence and pull the trigger!

Communications with the office could be improved. Dropping and losing nails and scraps in the snow is understandable but not picking up excess nails dropped while filling nail pouches is not okay. Also as a non smoker cigarette butts on the ground are definitely not okay.

We just put an Interlock metal roof on our house. We were very happy with Chris's presentation and and decided to move forward with them. They started when they said they would and the crew worked full days until it was complete.
