Metal Roofing in Essex County: Engineered for Vermont Winters

Vermont's most remote county also has its hardest winters — and the fewest contractors willing to come back in February. Interlock is the roof that asks the least of them: installed once, built for deep winter, and covered by the Guardian Warranty from Interlock Roofing Ltd.

YOU NEED A CREW BACK FAR LESS OFTEN

That is the real benefit this far out. Every repair means a long trip for someone, scheduled around weather that does not cooperate. A roof built to last the life of the house shrinks that to almost nothing.

BUILT FOR DEEP WINTER

Months of snow cover and severe freeze-thaw is as hard as roofing gets in New England. Interlock's panels lock on four sides with no exposed lap seam across the field of the roof, and the surface is designed to shed snow rather than hold a saturated load.

AND THE ARITHMETIC IS SIMPLE

Where labour and access cost the most, buying one roof instead of three is the clearest saving on this page. Where the deck is sound and local code permits, Interlock can sometimes be installed over existing asphalt — we strongly recommend a complete inspection to the roof deck first, since codes commonly allow roofing over only one layer of asphalt shingles.

What Vermont homeowners say

★★★★

Long wait on materials, installation was good, but not what I would call great (some dents, some uneven areas). The overall project had the potential to be fantastic (due to the construction of the house) and it fell short of that, but still looks great. Also dissappointed that they could not provide me with a certification letter for the wind, hail, and fire resistance. So installation had no effect on my homeowners insurance. At my previous home in Texas, that was standard for all roofing contractors. See previous comments

This is the second review I have ever given. Absolutely couldn’t be happier about our new roof/skylights and the folks I dealt with during the whole process. Begins with the no pressure sales, support staff and ends with the people who did the work. Work was done in November and waited to give this review only because I wanted to see how it handled a Vermont winter and see if any issues came up. No issues, none! Not sure why, but I used a lot less oil this winter (colder and snowier winter than normal). Maybe my 30 years old skylights or something to do with the roof system? If you are on the fence about using Interlock Roofing or the Shake Shingle type of roof, my advice to you would be to get off the fence and pull the trigger!

Communications with the office could be improved. Dropping and losing nails and scraps in the snow is understandable but not picking up excess nails dropped while filling nail pouches is not okay. Also as a non smoker cigarette butts on the ground are definitely not okay.

We just put an Interlock metal roof on our house. We were very happy with Chris's presentation and and decided to move forward with them. They started when they said they would and the crew worked full days until it was complete.
