Metal Roofing in Addison County — One Roof, Then Never Again

Champlain Valley homes take wind off the lake and a full Vermont winter on top of it. Interlock is the roof you install once — mechanically interlocked aluminum warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, holding a farmhouse or village roofline honestly, under the Guardian Warranty from Interlock Roofing Ltd.

Engineered Protection Against Vermont’s High Winds

Open valley exposure means wind with nothing to slow it, and asphalt shingles depend on adhesive tabs that age and release — once one lifts, a storm can take a slope. Interlock panels interlock on all four sides and fasten to the deck, and the system is warranted to resist wind speeds of up to 120 mph (193 kph) when installed to manufacturer specification.

YOUR FARMHOUSE KEEPS ITS LINE

Addison County is farm and village architecture — Middlebury, Vergennes, Bristol — much of it built for slate or wood shake. The matching aluminum profiles hold that character permanently.

LONG ROOF RUNS STOP BEING A LIABILITY

Barns and farmhouses mean large uninterrupted roof area, which is exactly where repeated asphalt replacement gets expensive. One permanent roof is the cheaper arithmetic — and at 0.41 psf it adds almost nothing to old framing.

What Vermont homeowners say

★★★★

Long wait on materials, installation was good, but not what I would call great (some dents, some uneven areas). The overall project had the potential to be fantastic (due to the construction of the house) and it fell short of that, but still looks great. Also dissappointed that they could not provide me with a certification letter for the wind, hail, and fire resistance. So installation had no effect on my homeowners insurance. At my previous home in Texas, that was standard for all roofing contractors. See previous comments

This is the second review I have ever given. Absolutely couldn’t be happier about our new roof/skylights and the folks I dealt with during the whole process. Begins with the no pressure sales, support staff and ends with the people who did the work. Work was done in November and waited to give this review only because I wanted to see how it handled a Vermont winter and see if any issues came up. No issues, none! Not sure why, but I used a lot less oil this winter (colder and snowier winter than normal). Maybe my 30 years old skylights or something to do with the roof system? If you are on the fence about using Interlock Roofing or the Shake Shingle type of roof, my advice to you would be to get off the fence and pull the trigger!

Communications with the office could be improved. Dropping and losing nails and scraps in the snow is understandable but not picking up excess nails dropped while filling nail pouches is not okay. Also as a non smoker cigarette butts on the ground are definitely not okay.

We just put an Interlock metal roof on our house. We were very happy with Chris's presentation and and decided to move forward with them. They started when they said they would and the crew worked full days until it was complete.
